Are the sessions recorded?
Yes – all lessons are recorded and securely stored. Students can rewatch their lessons at any time to reinforce their learning and use them as a revision tool.
How can students schedule a lesson?
To schedule a lesson:
- Sign in to the account. Go to "Find Tutors," which will open a list of teachers registered on the portal.
- Select a teacher with whom you want to schedule a lesson and go to his/her profile.
- Students can then either book a free trial session or purchase a lesson.
- Booking a free trial will open the availability calendar of the teacher. Students can then select a date and time from the calendar and confirm the booking.
- To purchase a lesson, students are required to make the payment and then schedule the lesson according to the tutor's availability.
How do new students get started?
- To get started on the platform, students are required to register with their email account and verify it by clicking the link sent to their email address.
- After verification, students can log in and set up their profile by adding a picture, phone number, country, timezone, etc.
- Students can then search for teachers based on their requirements by entering the subject or course name.
- After shortlisting teachers, students can book a free trial session to get to know the teacher better and see if they are a good fit.
- Following that, students can select a suitable tutor and start their private tuition!
What are the trial sessions? How can students schedule trial sessions?
- Trial sessions are the initial meetings between the tutors and students, serving as a way for tutors to understand the individual needs of the student better.
- Tutors will explain how their sessions run and how they can help you.
- Trial sessions last for 15 minutes and are free of charge. Students can book trial lessons by:
1. Finding a teacher they want to book a trial with.
2. On the teacher's detailed information page, they will see a 'Book Free Trial' button.
3. Clicking the 'Book Free Trial' button will open the availability calendar, allowing the selection of a date and time for the trial sessions.
4. Click 'Book Lesson', which will redirect you to the checkout page where you need to 'Confirm Order'. Your trial lesson is then booked.
- The system allows each student to take one trial lesson per tutor.
How do I choose the right tutor for my child?
You can browse tutor profiles, watch their intro videos, and filter by subject, experience, and teaching style. If you're unsure, we're happy to make a personalised recommendation.
What happens if my child misses a lesson?
If you give at least 24 hours' notice, you can reschedule with your tutor. Less than 24 hours’ notice may result in the session being charged, at the tutor’s discretion.
How do I pay for lessons?
Payments are handled securely via Stripe. You can book single sessions or purchase a block of lessons in advance.
Are tutors self-employed?
Yes, our tutors are independent, self-employed professionals. As freelancers, they have the flexibility to set their own contractual terms, which will govern their work with you, the customer.
